You can create one (empty) and add the content I mentioned into.
When the bug is fixed, update your install, delete the xorg.conf, reboot and all is ok.
PS : When you stating a failsafeX session in recovery mode a xorg.failsafe.conf is created. Just make a copy and name it xorg.conf.
