 You mean like I did in comment 16 where I essentially did "xrandr --set mode PAL && xrandr --verbose && xrandr --mode 1024x768" but with visual confirmation of the output and glxgears in between? The output from those xrandr --verbose is in that comment.
Or you want me to retest with the debug-patch?

Now my TV uses 1024x768 both in console and in Xorg by default, just like the ddx.
