Comment 23 for bug 461163

Well, I have a Core2 Quad, 8 Gb RAM e my video card is a NVIDIA 8600 GT. It runs flawless with Windows, and worked as expected with 9.04, but since I made a fresh install of the new 9.10 (640bit) the thing keeps hanging. Sometimes it hangs a few minutes after startup and sometimes I can manage to use it for a few hours before freezing. No particular app opened when it freezes. Since 9.04 runs flawless (and I've been using ubuntu since 8.04 without ANY incident), I'm really frustated seeing such a major bug in this new version.
Any clues already? Gonna try the compiz thing and see how it works.
