Roger, agreed. Besides, this is probably most likely a graphics driver issue with regards to some of the work that is being done in the Linux kernel (the modesetting and such). It is quite likely that it will take the newer kernels to really address this issue anyway.

Plus, it still leaves open the possibility for backporting the fix to Karmic and/or Jaunty.
