thank you for the freezetest kernels.
I tried them out with Karmic. My result is: no freezes happend with none of the kernels freezetest1, freezetest8 and freezetest9.
My graphic card is a Intel 855 and shows this values in lspci:

For the test I removed the xorg.conf file and had no 'nomodeset' command line for the kernels.
Logfiles Xorg.0.log from the three tests are included.
