This is happening to me too with Karmic. It seems to occur when I play freecell, a slightly different game than the original report. Here is the end of the Xorg.0.log.old:

This is also affecting me with exactly the same issues. Regardless also if desktop effects are enabled or not. I have attached the various crash reports and logs, alas... I'm unsure what other attachments will prove useful (this is my parents laptop)

Just wanted to mention that I have experienced similar crashes few times with AisleRiot Solitaire under Ubuntu 9.10, while playing Spider. Computer has Intel graphics card.

I think, this bug is the same as #469172. Aisleriot eats up all memory and X session crashes.

This affects me as well, however I noticed an additional line at the beginning of the error:
