More or less as the title says, I am experiencing an issue with the recent Jaunty alpha of Ubuntu. Both under Alpha 5 and Alpha 6, my system (specs below) will randomly freeze up, with the mouse only working and the rest of the system not respond. I must use the REISUB trick to reboot.
My computer is an HP dv6654us running Ubuntu Jaunty, fully updated as of 18 Mar (including the -11 kernel update). The OS is in a dual boot with Windows 7 x64, however, this issue has also occurred while running a LiveCD.
My specs are as follows:
- Intel GMA x3100 (GM965 chipset) video
- Realtek ALC268 sound
- Synaptics Touchpad mouse
- Intel 4965AGN Wireless
No hardware has changed since the last time I installed Ubuntu, or when I previously had an Intrepid install in the same OS configuration.
