It works very nicely for me if I downgrade to Thomas Fritzsche's package. The xvattr settings still reset upon launch of any player (smplayer, kaffeine...), but the contrast/saturation spectrum is now the same for xv and x11/etc.
$ apt-cache policy xserver-xorg-video-intel xserver-xorg-video-intel: Installed: 2:2.2.1-1ubuntu13 Candidate: 2:2.2.1-1ubuntu13.1 Version table: 2:2.2.1-1ubuntu13.1 0 500 http://se.archive.ubuntu.com hardy-proposed/main Packages *** 2:2.2.1-1ubuntu13 0 500 http://se.archive.ubuntu.com hardy-updates/main Packages 100 /var/lib/dpkg/status 2:2.2.1-1ubuntu12 0 500 http://se.archive.ubuntu.com hardy/main Packages
(note: 2.2.1-1ubuntu13 < 2.2.1-1ubuntu13.1)
Would be nice if it could be merged into the, uh, repository packages. Many thanks at any rate. :>
