Could you be more specific; what apps cause rendering errors and what kind of errors. Photos are nice. My 965GM doesn't seem to have any problems, and you have the same chip. |

There have been some significant improvements with -intel on Jaunty. Can you please test against Jaunty Alpha 4 or newer? When you test, please check both "EXA" and "UXA" AccelMethod's.
I suspect this may be a mesa bug rather than -intel but we'll leave it here for the time being. |

Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel
I've been getting some weird rendering errors on 3D apps on Intrepid since the Alpha 4 release. Yesterday I've downloaded the daily build (2008/08/28), which seems to have the newest Mesa and Intel driver (2.4.1) and the problem still persists.
Direct rendering is enabled, and those errors appears with and without Compiz enabled. The most common error I see are missing textures.
The performance is also slow, but this is was already being very slow (compared to Windows) on Hardy.
I've attached some files to try to help, case you need more information, just ask.
I get the "no TTM manager" at glxgears startup, but I think you're probably aware of this one. |
