2008-08-26 12:28:31 Andreas Moog description Binary package hint: xserver-xorg-video-intel In 8.04 and 8.10 alpha 4 the Intel integrated Graphics GM965 or 965GM video drivers fail to work for the live CD. To get the system into the live environment you must boot into safe mode video (Vesa driver). You can get the intel_drv.so to work however you need to modify the xorg.conf file by hand (auto detection/config does not function). To get the system into the live environment you must boot into safe mode video (Vesa driver). You can get the intel_drv.so to work however you need to modify the xorg.conf file by hand (auto detection/config does not function). The best possible work around (that I have found) for this bug is to install with the vesa drivers and then modify the default xorg.conf like the following.... In the Device section add the line Option "monitor-LVDS" "LVDS" and setup your Monitor section to look like.... Section "Monitor" Identifier "LVDS" Option "Ignore" "True" EndSection
