Comment 166 for bug 127101

Me too. I have had a problem where when going on standby, or 2/3 of the way shutting down the screen goes blank, no response, with a flashing console cursor in the top left.
After about 1.5-2 minutes, it continues to shut down, with the normal kubuntu artwork.
Standby doesn't continue, just stays with the flashing cursor forever, and needs a hard shutdown.

This didn't happen using the i810 driver (I dunno about the standby thing, I never use standby). Is it possible that this bug is related?
