DRI appears to be enabled on your machine, see:

(II) I810(0): [drm] installed DRM signal handler
(II) I810(0): [DRI] installation complete
(II) I810(0): direct rendering: Enabled

(from your Xorg.0.log)

What is the output of 'xdriinfo'?

On my i945gm, I get this:

rodarvus@wakko:~$ xdriinfo
Screen 0: i915
rodarvus@wakko:~$

Meaning that DRI is enabled for this board, and that it uses driver i915 for DRI. (the dri driver, in turn, is provided by libgl1-mesa-dri)
