The comment from Kaleo above says that he tested 1.7.4 and it is not yet fixed.

The upstream package did not fix this problem. See Alan Hourihane's comment here https://bugs.freedesktop.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5774#c46, saying it is fixed, but the driver on his web site (dated a few days after his comment) does not fix the problem for me.
