Bug Description

When I'm using my computer my screen will just go black, and I can't do anything
to get either the X screen back or the console screens up. I'm forced to
restart the computer.

Kubuntu (Breezy)

If there's anymore information I can provide please ask.

Thanks.

I think that this bug has something to do with konqueror. I noticed that while
I'm surfing the web with konqueror I will get graphic artifacts on the widgets
(little vertical lines on buttons and window decoration). The artifacting
occurs in all the windows I've got open not just the Konqueror window. Usually
the artifacting will happen if I go to a page that requires the horizontal
scrollbar. Shortly after the artifacting X crashes.

If I don't use Konqueror X does not crash.

Also I think my bug may be related to bug #19644.

This problem seems to be occuring more often lately, so I started looking
through my log files to see if there was anything else I could find. I noticed
this in /var/log/syslog...

Dec 23 09:07:11 krypto kdm[6738]: Unable to fire up local display :0; disabling.

So I looked in /var/log/kdm.log, and I noticed the following error message...
