After re-generating the Makefile.in and rebuilding, I finally got this experimental patch to work on my ThinCan DBE62.
Updated packages are available in my Personal Package Archive at the URL above, for those who want to test this and compare with the current Hardy package. Among other things, this test package should finally make X auto-configuration work on Geode hardware that boots off Coreboot.
