Horizontal lines appears arbitrarily during the rendering of text, they can be made to disappear by temporary by rerendering of the text.
I have so far sighted these rendering artifacts in Firefox's tab-bar and possibly on the search bar(screenshots provided below) as well as in the general edited text of gedit(3rd screenshot). I suspect it may be a bigger problem with X.org, Gnome or possible the graphics card drivers. I am running on a 5 years old Dell Inspiron 5100 laptop with Radeon Mobility 7500(details in dmesg.log provided in link below). |
