Toshiba A350 64 bit ATI Radeon HD 3650 graphics card:

Ubuntu 8.10 lifeCD: freeze after booting.

Ubuntu 9.10 alpha 5 lifeCD: after booting message "Ubuntu is running in low-graphics mode. Your screen, graphics card, and input device setting could not be detected correctly. You will need to configure these yourself". After OK running in low graphics mode: "There already appears to be an X server running on display :0."
