Hi!

with this information and some more google work i finally found a - I believe quite nice - way for me to automatize this fix!

due to a reference on http://mg.pov.lt/blog/t61.html I just tried his solution and voila gdm and gnome in 1280x800 right from scratch!

I just added in added in /etc/gdm/Init/Default in line 9 (right afte the variable declarations) my "xrandr --output TV --off"
