Comment 101 for bug 148408

well, as expected, no luck for me. Nothing changed even with the binary drivers from comment 69. I compiled the last feisty version fully patched and that already blocked the machine just on starting up X.

I hope I'll find the time to set up a dedicated test installation for systematically analyzing the situation. I still have an old X20 that I don't really use for anything anymore. I think the graphics chip is a bit different, but maybe I can reproduce and disect the problem there.
