Hi Daniel, the driver that I have with ubuntu's support (the one that is downloaded automatically) is giving me some problems. No freezes yet (it's been around 6 hours).

The first problem is that the display does not seem to be claimed.

This I believe leads to the following problems in which the night light does not work. (when I had the driver installed from the amd website it did work). And similarly, I cannot attach an HDMI external monitor to my computer anymore, where previously with the other driver I could.

Please let me know what steps I can take to resolve these issues. I have gone through the internet and many suggestions just tell me to install the driver from the amd site. but I do not want something that Ubuntu does not support or freezes on me. Thanks. Blaise
