Great, so what is the link to the bug report you just reported?

This would be because you did not file a new report.

Unfortunately, one cannot file a bug report within another original reporter's bug report. That is not how bug reporting works, as mentioned in https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xserver-xorg-input-synaptics/+bug/896922/comments/21 .
