YO! As a temporary automated fix, you can add the command:

xinput set-prop "DLL0665:01 06CB:76AD UNKNOWN" --type=int --format=8 "Device Enabled" && xinput set-prop "DLL0665:01 06CB:76AD UNKNOWN" --type=int --format=8 "Device Enabled" 1

To the startup applications app in Ubuntu.
