Bug Description
On my Thinkpad T420s the Ubuntu does no longer register clicks on the hardware buttons below the touchpad while a finger is moving on the touchpad. This worked before the upgrade to 14.04.
This means that a lot of clicks are not registered when they should be. For example when moving and clicking on tabs at the top of the firefox window.

this works just fine on my T420s, check your settings, or on a live-session to confirm
