I heard that this is a QT 4.5 issue meets (K)Ubuntu using non-standard names. I tried installing the experimental QT4.6 packages, but no change.

My tablet (also a 12000U) seems to register as input 8/mouse 2 and in dmesg I get:
input: Aiptek as /devices/pci0000:00/0000:00:12.2/usb1/1-6/1-6.3/1-6.3:1.0/input/input8

3 years I've been trying to get this to work. *sigh*

Oh, and the "updated" packages mentioned at https://help.ubuntu.com/community/Wacom are outdated as Karmic's default ones are more recent.
