  lspci -n | grep 0000:00:0

I think the appropriate IDs were added after Flight 5 (so Flight 6 should have them).

Second part of the question; this Xv distortion has also been posted elsewhere. Seems to be related to the brightness/constrant setting being defaulted to an extreme value rather than in the centre. Can you adjust them under Xine or Mplayer?
