Subject: Downgrading metacity does not fix Alt+Tab

Package: metacity
Version: 1:2.6.5-1
Followup-For: Bug #256939

I downgraded Metacity from 2.8.1-3 to 2.6.5-1 and the problem still
persists after killing metacity and allowing gnome to reload it.

I use click-to-focus, and in addition to metacity was running/run
gnome-terminal, sylpheed and gaim as well as XMMS.

XMMS and gaim both using system notification area.

Weather, stickies, volume, clock window and area switcher applets
loaded. Am thinking perhaps it's something else that's broken if
downgrading metacity doesn't fix the problem.

Hope this info helps.
