Comment 2 for bug 55445

If the system is freezing, it's not a debian-installer bug. You can tell whether it's a complete system freeze by pressing Alt-F2 and seeing if you get to a mostly-black screen offering to start a shell (Alt-F1 returns to the installer user interface).
