Results of the off script testing:
# ./test_off.sh
Trying \_SB.PCI0.P0P1.VGA._OFF: failed
Trying \_SB_.PCI0.OVGA.ATPX: works!

No real effect of ATI card noticed so far, works quite well in 2D mode on Linux built-in driver with Intel's GPU. More updates later.
