2a) To clarify, when did you test 14.04 on this hardware?

2b) Were you using Xubuntu or Kubuntu?

2c) Was this reproducible on any releases between 14.04 and 16.04?

2d) How long did it take to boot in 14.04?

3) To further root cause the boot process, you please post the results of the following terminal commands:
systemd-analyze
systemd-analyze blame
systemd-analyze critical-chain
