I unsuccessfully tried this config (this is what you meant right, Alex?):

Section "InputDevice"
        Identifier "Configured Mouse"
        Driver "evdev"
        Option "Name" "*Mouse"
        Option "CorePointer"
EndSection

When I tried this config X.org would not start (I was left in a text based console).
