Just for everybody to know... nvidia is aware of this issue at hand. So I would guess that the next driver-release will have that bug fixed.
And let's hope for the sake of users of ATI-hardware, who want/need the fglrx-driver, that AMD/ATI will not be a victim of this change in Xorg. With the recent annoucement of AMD/ATI trying hard to becoming a better OpenSource-citizen, my guess it that they are aware of this. Is there perhaps anybody from AMD/ATI reading this and able to reply? That would be nice!
