Comment 2 for bug 123341

Today tried booting again from the live cd. Using the default startup option, and editting the kernel line, I removed the 'quiet' and 'splash' options and added vga=791. This allowed the machine to boot completely into xorg, but there was no screen output during startup. (Probably need to try other vga values).
