Confirmed with my laptop which has a ATI card:

(--) PCI:*(1:0:0) ATI Technologies Inc M56P [Radeon Mobility X1600] rev 0, Mem @ 0xe0000000/28, 0xf4600000/16, I/O @ 0x4000/8

My laptops LCD wants a resolution of 1680x1050.

I'm attaching my Xorg.0.log.

This bug should be raised to critical ASAP!
