Here's my fix for the Plantronics .Audio 626 DSP:
1. Put this in /etc/udev/rules.d/70-plantronics.rules:
ACTION!="add|change", GOTO="xorg_plantronics_end" KERNEL!="event*", GOTO="xorg_plantronics_end"
ENV{ID_VENDOR_ID}=="047f", ENV{ID_MODEL_ID}=="c006", ENV{ID_INPUT_KEY}="1" ENV{ID_VENDOR_ID}=="047f", ENV{ID_MODEL_ID}=="c006", RUN+="keymap $name 0xc00e9 volumeup 0xc00ea volumedown 0xb002f micmute"
LABEL="xorg_plantronics_end"
2. Reload udev:
sudo udevadm control --reload
3. Unplug the headset and plug it back in
