I'm sorry, but new Ubuntu release breaks my favorite instruments like gnome2 and aptitude, so I don't plan to upgrade in the near future. And I have nVidia GPU only inside work PC. Probably I'll find some time for a LiveCD test.

I started LiveCD session on VirtualBox machine, manually installed xfs and easily reproduced crash by creating /etc/X11/xorg.conf with following contents:
