I just installed edgy on my new D620 with the quadro nvs 110m video card and I'm seeing this exact behavior and obviously edgy ships with a much newer version of xorg so this solution won't work. lspci says the video card is

01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Unknown device 01d7 (rev a1)

PLEASE HELP
