Comment 81 for bug 57153

Hi
It seems that the solution that I read here doesnt work for me, I down graded the xorg version to the version that is supposed to work, now gdm wont start, and I am completely lost as what am I suposed to do from here.
here is a part of the log file that is outputed after the x restart:

The machine is a new Toshiba Tecra A8, which was running ubuntu for a couple of days without any problems, till i did the upgrade and no more GUI
Anything else any one can tell me, or should I re-install the whole thing, or maybe move to another distro?
