Hi guys!

I'm the one maintaining the VMware unattended installation of Ubuntu. First of all, sorry about this problem. It was not an issue until Lucid for us (I did note that someone saw this with Karmic, but I have to verify that myself.)

We've fixed the erroneous preseed of console-setup/modelcode=SKIP (and corrected it to 'evdev'), and you should see this in our upcoming maintenance and new product releases of Player, Workstation, and Fusion.
