Looks like the patch is working on my PC. This is what I typed into the terminal and the results:
claudia@claudia-desktop:~$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:bryceharrington/purple [sudo] password for claudia: Executing: gpg --ignore-time-conflict --no-options --no-default-keyring --secret-keyring /etc/apt/secring.gpg --trustdb-name /etc/apt/trustdb.gpg --keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg --primary-keyring /etc/apt/trusted.gpg --keyserver keyserver.ubuntu.com --recv 510DE9AC846B40EB94EDB3AEFBB49579B75FECB0 gpg: requesting key B75FECB0 from hkp server keyserver.ubuntu.com gpg: key B75FECB0: public key "Launchpad PPA for Bryce Harrington" imported gpg: Total number processed: 1 gpg: imported: 1 (RSA: 1) claudia@claudia-desktop:~$
I then went into the update manager and applied the patch. So far nothing has crashed(keeping my fingers crossed)!
Thanks for this! Ubuntu has NEVER given me such problems before, Windows does all the time!!
