Hmm, it would help to have detailed, specific steps to reproduce this issue and/or pinpoint to the hardware it can be seen on. I've never seen this bug myself, on any of the hardware I've tested.

While I don't deny this is a legitimate issue and probably extremely annoying when it occurs, I think there's still not quite enough information about it exposed for it to be analyzed. But I'm assigning to Timo to take a quick look at it, to see if there is something obvious that can be done. Timo, if you think this is something that can be SRU'd go ahead and accept the Lucid nomination, but if it's unclear let's decline it for now and leave it to Meerkat.

Meanwhile, if others wish to analyze this issue more deeply, the xtrace utility might be helpful in examining the communication between client and server, to help narrow in on what is causing the focus to get trapped.
