I'm having the same problem with the Intrepid beta.
I didn't try to install but I saw essentially the same output on the x-server logs when booting the live cd.
The difference in my case is the unsupported device is a GeForce 8300 (not GeForce 8300 GS). I'm using an Asus M3N-HD/HDMI motherboard with on-board graphics as part of the GeForce 8300 chipset.

The NV driver does work just fine with this chipset - at least it did in Hardy
