It's kind of expected, as the radeon driver uses bus mastering to send commands
to the graphics card when the DRI is enabled.

Hard to say without knowing exactly what kind of bus mastering activity pattern
is causing the problem. AFAIR someone else reported this before and provided
much more detail, but I don't remember if that was here or in XFree86's bugzilla.
