Comment 34 for bug 19711

There are actually two things at play here, one is the vblank interrupts (Jesse just posted a patch on dri-devel to use the HW vblank counters) and the other is the read back of the ring pointer when processing the command ring. Once the vblank is taken care of we can look at how much it would help to adjust how often we read back the pointer.
