The crash just happened again, and here are 3 fresh new files in my /var/crash, whose date matches exactly the time of the crash:
_usr_lib_xorg_Xorg.1000.crash _usr_bin_Xwayland.120.crash _usr_bin_gnome-shell.120.crash
About the first one I submitted this bug and marked it as a duplicate: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1772362
About the second one a bug already existed, confirmed with "Medium" importance: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/xorg-server/+bug/1731911
About the third one I was told that I have out-of-date packages, I am updating now. Please note that this is a fresh install of the recently released 18.04, and updates are set to "weekly" so it can't be crazy old either :-)
