Upgrading to the ubuntu8 package set did not help me.

Loking at the text in the fix:

Does not really look like the text for the patch applied in the freedesktop bug:

> 0001-dix-fix-zaphod-screen-scrossing-54654.patch

I have not looked at the content but again; This does not fix my X.
