While this is not a proper solution, this hack seems to work.
I had to modify 2 files:
/usr/share/X11/xkb/keycodes/evdev:
The line that reads: <AB11> = 211
should be changed to: <AB11> = 97
The line that reads: <AD01> = 97; // Romaji
should be commented out: // <AD01> = 97; // Romaji
and
/usr/share/X11/xkb/symbols:
The line that reads: key <AB11> { [ XF86Launch4 ] };
should be commented out: // key <AB11> { [ XF86Launch4 ] };
After doing those and restarting X, I'm able to use / ? °
