I've the same issue both my ubuntu machines that are using nvidia chips with propietary drivers.
I've noticed the bug since when I've used kdenlive 0.7 (but it could be just a coincidence), however the problem happens also using mplayer, vlc or any other player that is using the Xv output (for example, I've no problems using the x11, or the gl/gl2 video outputs). It's anyway so strange since sometimes I've no blue-red swaps at all (generally after a fresh reboot), while the most time I use my PCs I get this issue.
I don't really know how I could fix this issue, but I guess that it could be a problem related to the nvidia-driver more than to ubuntu or other free libraries.
