Comment 4 for bug 83451

I had the same problem, to fix it I had to reload the OS, once loaded then I installed the ubuntu-desktop. Now running the Gnome Interface, the Xfce-interface I think has a bug in it somewhere. I even viewed the files but according to everything I read it is suppose to work and it still doesn't. When I load in the interface I get the desktop picture and a few icons nothing more. No taskbars anywhere. They are gone.
