I am currently experiencing this issue with a foxconn d180s j1800 motherboard and Xubuntu 15.04. After turning off the TV and receiver I do not receive any video when turning them back on. Running the script fixhdmi.sh posted above or 'xrandr -d :0 --auto' seems to fix the issue. I just need to figure out how to trigger when TV turns back on.
