Comment 4 for bug 227460

I'm having this problem since 8.04 ubuntu (desktop & xubuntu)

I can't find gnome-battery-monitor in synaptic
the gnome-power-manager is installed

i found this command, here is the result:

Can you explain about the HAL problem?
